Kelly Zhang, Ph.D., is a Senior Fellow and Director at Genentech (a member of the Roche Group). She has over 20 years of diverse pharmaceutical industry experience from Genentech, Allergan, and Pfizer.

She has led analytical R&D teams from preclinical research to commercial launches, across both drug substances and drug formulations.

Dr. Zhang has authored over 80 peer-reviewed papers in pharmaceutical analysis, covering a wide range of drug modalities, including small molecules, peptides, proteins, antibody-drug conjugates, polymer-drug conjugates, oligonucleotides, and cell and gene therapies.

She serves on the Permanent Scientific Committees of both the International HPLC Conferences and the International Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis Conferences.

Dr. Zhang has been recognized multiple times on The Analytical Scientist Power List, including 2023 Innovators and Trailblazers, the 2021 & 2019 Top 100 lists, and the 2016 Top 50 Most Influential Women in Analytical Science.
